Grolier International, Inc. (GII) donated supplementary learning resources to DepEd-Olongapo City. These include fiction and non-fiction books valued at Php 695, 000.00.
In a statement, Superintendent Leilani Cunanan expressed her appreciation as she said, “I would like to extend our gratitude to Grolier Philippines … this is indeed very timely this is the time when our learners really need a lot of materials where they can develop their skill in reading…they need all the help they can get to make their time at home productive.”
The donations were turned over to the SDO and schools from April 12 to 23. A Certificate of Appreciation was issued to GII after the activity.
Engagement with stakeholders was part of the Learning Continuity Plan developed by the SDO to ensure the delivery of quality basic education during the COVID-19 pandemic.
