Olongapo City, March 3, 2025 – In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Department of Education (DepEd) Olongapo City led a grand kick-off parade, embracing this year’s theme: “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.” The event brought together school heads, personnel from DepEd Olongapo City, and Schools Division Office (SDO) staff, all marching in solidarity to honor and recognize the vital role of women in all sectors of society.

The parade started at Gordon Avenue and followed a route that included 20th Street, Elicano Street, 26th Street, Rizal Avenue, and 18th Street, before returning to Gordon Avenue and concluding at the SDO Olongapo City office. The participants marched with pride, showcasing their commitment to women’s empowerment and their vital roles in various sectors of society.
Clad in vibrant purple shirts symbolizing justice and dignity, participants marched with enthusiasm, carrying balloons advocating gender equality, women empowerment, and inclusive progress in the country’s development.

DepEd SDO Olongapo City reaffirmed its dedication to advocating for women’s rights and fostering a more inclusive community where every woman can excel and make an impact.

The successful parade set the tone for a meaningful and empowering National Women’s Month celebration, highlighting the collective effort to uplift and support women in all sectors.

This celebration highlighted the importance of women in nation-building and aimed to inspire a future where women from all sectors can thrive and contribute to a progressive Philippines.
