It has been an annual activity of Schools Division Office of Olongapo City to generate and validate school data directly from the sources before submitting them to the higher offices. This materialized last November 12, 2019 at the SDO Conference Hall as the School Heads, School Planning Coordinators and select personnel from the Schools Division Office convened to ensure that the figures reflected in the Electronic Basic Education Information System ( EBEIS) are accurate for these are not only mere numbers, they would serve as basis for future planning and budgeting of the Department of Education.
The EBEIS is a web-based management information system that aims to improve the collection of data from the schools and field offices and efficiently render delivery of data/information to various stakeholders. It is used to process quick summaries on total enrolment, number of nationally-funded teachers, instructional rooms and school furniture (deped.gov.ph).
Since the launching of this system few years back, SDO Olongapo City through the initiative of Division Planning Coordinator has been consistently hands-on in monitoring the uploading of these data to assist schools in providing correct information. This is critical in determining the appropriate services and intervention to stakeholders particularly to the learners who are the primary beneficiaries of all DepEd initiatives.
To facilitate the validation process, school encoded data were reviewed by the following SDO personnel: Mr. Rodel Martinez, Mr. Paquito Figuero, Mr. Raymund Camacho, Mr. Samuel Farrales, Mr. Juvimin Mustar, Mr. Miguel Esporas, Dr. Richard Elacio, Ms. Sehwani Sherazade Mr. Evan Escobar, Mr. Arthur Aquino, Mr. Jet Renz Ferrer and Ms. Haidee Gabriel. In nutshell, the activity has been very successful since 100% of the schools were able to upload in the EBEIS and this would not have been made possible without the wholehearted support of all the School Heads and School Planning Coordinators.
