The common facts of today are the products of yesterday’s research. Duncan Macdonald
Engaging in research requires focus and commitment and this will be sustained if the researchers are properly guided and given appropriate directions in their research journey. Thus, the Schools Division Office of Olongapo City has come up with the initiatives to conduct research presentation at the onset while the researchers are currently in the state of conducting their studies. This gave them initial feedback on how to make their research more scholarly. So far, eight (8) teachers from different schools courageously presented and defended their respective research during the Research Management and Evaluation Forum on March 6, 2020 at the SDO Conference Hall. Panel members who gave constructive criticism and recommendations were Dr. Eleonor C. Cayabyab, OIC-SGOD Chief, Ms. Feligna Bugay, OIC-CID Chief and Ms. Loreta D. Figueroa, Division English Coordinator.
This Research Management and Evaluation Forum is initiated by the Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Enrique Angeles, Jr. It is intended for researchers to communicate their studies, have it evaluated in front of a panel, where in turn the panel comments and suggests critical points concerning the research. The researchers have shown enthusiasm in pursuing researches no matter how challenging the journey will be. This is the drive the SDO looks forward in order to develop and institutionalize the culture of research.
This is the first batch of researchers who have attended this Research Management and Evaluation Forum and similar activities will follow on the succeeding months.
