Bato Balani Foundation, Inc. donated 17,646 of scholastic resources to DepEd-Olongapo City as supplementary learning materials to the 39 schools in the Division.
The resources consisted of 1,635 textbooks and 16, 011 magazines valued at Php 635, 665.00 were delivered to the Schools Division Office of Olongapo City (SDO) on Wednesday. The Office of Cong. Jeffrey Khonghun was tapped to transport the said donation.
In a statement, Superintendent Leilani Cunanan expressed her gratitude to BBFI for being the SDO’s valued partner.
“SDO Olongapo City is indeed privileged to be the recipient of this generous donation of reading resources for our students and teachers,” she stated. “Happy to note also that your major thrusts focus on the development of our students, teachers, and schools, as well as on special involvements, especially in various educational programs, projects and activities to ensure the provision of quality basic education to our youth.”
A Certificate of Appreciation was issued to BBFI after the turnover.
“Rest assured that these resources will be utilized by our students and teachers to further improve the delivery and acquisition of learning. Thank you so much for being one of our trusted and reliable partners in education,” she said.
This school year, the SDO has been more aggressive in engaging stakeholders to support the Division’s Learning Continuity Plan following huge challenges brought about by the pandemic.
