Sitio Mampueng, Iram, April 3, 2024- In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at bridging the technological gap for indigenous learners, a Turnover Ceremony was held at Iram II Elementary School, marking the introduction of Starlink Internet Satellite Kits, Solar Power Systems, and Frontlearners, Inc. Interactive Multimedia Audio Visual Tech Aid from the Department of Science and Technology-Regional Office III. The project, spearheaded by Dr. Julius Caesar V. Sicat thru Science and Technology (CEST), promises to revolutionize education for the indigenous community.
The event commenced with opening remarks by Ma’am Annie Montero, the Public Schools District Supervisor, who emphasized the significance of providing equal opportunities for all learners, regardless of their background. Montero’s words set the tone for an inspirational journey ahead.
Dr. Imelda P. Macaspac, the Officer-in-Charge Schools Division Superintendent, and Sir William Roderick R. Fallorin, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, delivered a compelling message of hope and empowerment. They stressed the transformative potential of education and technology in uplifting marginalized communities.
The highlight of the ceremony was the Turnover Speech delivered by Ms. Renz Reymar, the representative from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Regional Office III. Reymar expressed gratitude for the collaborative effort that made the project possible and highlighted the role of technology in fostering inclusive education.
Following Reymar’s address, Ms. Eloisa Ferrer, representing Frontlearners, Incorporated, shared insights into the Interactive Multimedia Audio Visual Tech Aid. Ferrer highlighted the importance of innovative teaching tools in engaging learners and enhancing comprehension.
In her acceptance message, Maria Christina P. Bernal, Principal I of Iram II Elementary School, delivered an emotional Acceptance Message. Bernal expressed heartfelt appreciation for the invaluable contributions that would empower both Indigenous People Learners of Iram II Elementary School and educators alike. She pledged to maximize the newly acquired equipment provided to ensure full development and academic excellence.
