ICTSI Foundation and SBITC Boost Digital Learning in Olongapo City Public Schools

Olongapo City, Zambales – February 14, 2025 – The ICTSI Foundation, Inc. and Subic Bay International Terminal Corporation (SBITC) have strengthened digital learning in Olongapo City public schools through the 2025 Educational Assistance Project. In a formal turnover ceremony, 140 units of Samsung DU7000 50” Crystal UHD 4K LED Smart TVs and 140 True Vision Full Motion TV Wall Brackets were donated to six public schools and the Schools Division Office (SDO) Olongapo Learning Resource Management and Development System.

The event was graced by key education and government officials. Mr. Manric Turla, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS), delivered the welcome remarks, followed by inspiring messages from Dr. Imelda P. Macaspac, OIC Schools Division Superintendent (SDS); Hon. Rolen C. Paulino, Jr., City Mayor; Mr. Henry V. Dungca, Management Services and Government Affairs Head of SBITC; and Mr. Michael Vincent Z. Llorente, Senior Specialist and Program Head of ICTSI Foundation, Inc.

The turnover ceremony was led by representatives from ICTSI Foundation, SBITC, OIC-SDS Dr. Macaspac, DepEd SDO Olongapo officials, and Mayor Paulino. Ma’am Marian Fronda delivered the message of acceptance on behalf of the beneficiaries. In recognition of their support.

Plaques of appreciation were awarded by Dr. Imelda P. Macaspac, OIC-SDS, Dr. Eleonor C. Cayabyab, CID Chief, Sir Ricardo E. Ednave, SGOD Chief and Mam Arlene E. Dela Rea, SEPS-SMN. The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Sir Ricardo E. Ednave.

Beneficiary Schools and Allocation:

  • James L. Gordon Integrated School – 33 units of Smart TVs and wall brackets
  • Tapinac Elementary School – 27 units
  • Mabayuan Elementary School – 24 units
  • Banicain Elementary School – 21 units
  • Boton Elementary School – 18 units
  • Barretto II Elementary School – 16 units
  • SDO Olongapo Learning Resource Management and Development System – 1 unit

The initiative benefits students and teachers, providing them with state-of-the-art technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences. This generous contribution from ICTSI Foundation and SBITC highlights their commitment to advancing education in Olongapo City, ensuring that schools have access to modern resources for digital learning.
