“SHARING is Caring” a word that turns into reality. A remarkable day happened for the 198 Indigenous students and 223 indigent students of IRAM HIGH SCHOOL last June 30, 2023, this is because they accepted a cash donation worth 200, 000.00, and 5 pieces of 55” Smart Television from BIR Director Edgar B. Tolentino and Ma’am Rowena Santiago. This is through the effort of the SDS Ma’am Imelda P. Macaspac, of SDO Olongapo City and the OIC School Principal. The ceremony of acceptance was witnessed by the Tribal Chieftain Shirley Soria and her constituents, School Parents Teachers Association President Ma’am Ana Marie Pelekai, Faculty President Mr. Christopher Ryan Barba and some of the SDO personnel. The community was overwhelmed by the generosity given by the stakeholders. The school ensured that this amount will be used for the renovation of the Pergola and TLE Laboratory for the incoming implementation of the Senior High School this August 28, 2023. This event truly touches the heart of everyone in the community because this act of kindness gives hope, and this is a manifestation of a dream come true to every learner in this community. This community was established after the Mt. Pinatubo eruption way back 1991. It served as a relocation site for the almost 1000 families from different places from Zambales and Pampanga. The school was established in 1994 and became the refuge of misplaced learners. During the implementation of Senior High School, a noticeable number of learners did not complete Senior High because of financial problems. But, with the effort being given by the SDO – Olongapo City and through financial assistance of our stakeholders, our vision that all of the completers in our school will eventually be Senior High School graduates will be qualified for employment, entrepreneurship and college shall become a reality.
