Olongapo City, May 28, 2024 – In a significant celebration held at the SMX SM Central Olongapo City, educators, students, and dignitaries gathered to honor the achievements of senior high school students who have excelled in the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track. The event, themed “Milestone of Excellence: Celebrating National Certification Achievers,” recognizing the hard work and dedication of young achievers in the Schools Division of Olongapo City.
The ceremony started at 1:00 PM with a warm welcome from Dr. Eleonor C. Cayabyab, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division. Her notes emphasized the importance of technical-vocational education in affecting the student’s future.
Following the welcome address, an inspirational message was delivered by Dr. Imelda P. Macaspac, the Officer-in-Charge of the Schools Division Superintendent. Dr. Macaspac’s speech emphasized the transformative power of education and the bright futures that await the students who have attained their national certifications. Her words were reaffirmed by Honorable Rolen C. Paulino Jr., the City Mayor of Olongapo, who praised the students’ efforts and commitment to excellence, giving emphasis to the important role they play in the city’s development.
The challenge to the graduates was presented by Reynaldo C. Castillo, Regional Education Program Supervisor in EPP/TLE/TVL. He motivated the achievers to continue striving for excellence and to utilize their skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to their communities and industries.
The highlight of the afternoon was the awarding ceremony, where all senior high school students from the TVL track received their national certifications. This moment was a proud testament to their hard work and perseverance. Schools represented included Tapinac Senior High School and New Cabalan Senior High School, whose students proudly received their accolades amidst cheers and applause.
Representatives eloquently delivered expressions of gratitude from Tapinac Senior High School and New Cabalan Senior High School, and on behalf of Mr. Ronald Camacho, Vice President for Administration and Finance at the St. Benilde Center for Global Competence, Ms. Joan P. Pasoquin, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude, and Ms. Irene Flores, Administrator of BEST Freeport College Inc. Their heartfelt words reflected the collective pride and joy of the academic community in the students’ achievements.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Jonathan F. Bada, Education Program Supervisor for TLE/TVL, who commended the students and educators for their dedication and hard work. He encouraged the graduates to continue pursuing their dreams with the same passion and determination that led them to this milestone.
