Part of the mandate of SDO Olongapo City is adherence to standards in the completion of school building constructions and implementation of programs and projects intended for the students. Hence, it was on January 24, 2020 when the Regional Engineer Rogelio Mones Jr. and Engineer I Giselle Juan, visited one of the last mile schools in Olongapo City, Iram I Elementary School ( Mampweng) at the same time monitored the status of building constructions in Old Cabalan Integrated School and Kalalake National High School. This visit is deemed very essential for this will give the higher offices real time updates on the status of school building construction at the same time gather feedback on the issues and challenges as regards the completion and turn-over of the facilities to the recipient schools. The data gathered form part of the annual inventory of reports which serve as basis for planning and budgeting in the succeeding calendar year. Engineer Justin Charles Espiritu facilitated the monitoring of school facilities in the aforesaid schools.
Further, Mr. Robert Noe Pagapang , Project Development Officer I and Youth Formation Coordinator monitored and provided technical assistance concerning the implementation of the school activities under the Supreme Pupil Government (SPG). As the mother pupil organization of schools, the SPG is tasked to ensure that all activities that will lead to the holistic development of pupils through networking with stakeholders and interfacing with other school organizations are implemented based on existing policies of the Department of Education.
