Division of Olongapo City recently hosted the much-anticipated 2024 Division Festival of Talents, themed “Innovate, Illuminate, and Entertain: Uniting Through Talent and Technology” on January 20, 2024. Participants from private and public elementary and secondary schools gathered for this event.
Olongapo City Elementary School (OCES) emerged triumphant at the Division-Level Competitions, showcasing their talents in both the Sining Tanghalan and Technolympics. Hosted by New Cabalan Elementary School and Barretto National High School, the event brought together learners from different schools, highlighting the diverse talents within the community.
OCES took the lead in the Fruit and Vegetable Carving category, capturing everyone’s attention. A skilled artist from OCES expertly turned ordinary fruits and vegetables into amazing artworks, demonstrating technical expertise and also a talent for adding creativity and imagination to their edible creations.
Adding a touch of elegance to the festivities, OCES participants secured a well-deserved 3rd place in the invitation card-making competition. The learners’ detailed designs and artistic skill transformed basic invitations into showcases of creative brilliance.
OCES impressed everyone with their musical skills, earning a remarkable 2nd place for their enchanting performance of “Himig Bulilit” Performances and leaving a lasting impact on the audience with their talented vocals.
In a rhythmic display of cultural heritage, OCES participants took center stage with the Philippine folk dance, earning a commendable 4th place. The vibrant movements showcased the rich traditions and cultural diversity of the Philippines.
The stages of New Cabalan Elementary School and Barretto National High School became a vibrant melting pot of creativity, hosting mesmerizing competitions in the Sining Tanghalan and Technolympics. Key education figures, including Mr. Jonathan A. Bada, Education Program Supervisor (EPS) in EPP and TLE in Secondary, Mr. Samson Buqueron, EPS in Elementary, and Mr. Saturnino Dumlao, EPS in MAPEH, were present during the awarding ceremony. The competition showcased a diverse array of talents, with the winners set to represent the Division in the upcoming Regional Festival of Talents. The events brought forth a diverse range of skills, from artistic expression to technical expertise, showcasing the multifaceted talents of each learner from different schools. The claps echoing in the venue revealed that this event went beyond a contest; it was a festive tribute to art, culture, and the spirited participants, creating lasting memories for everyone.
