Olongapo City – In line with the Department of Education’s (DepEd) efforts to foster strong partnerships between parents, teachers, and the community, the Olongapo City Schools Division Office successfully conducted the Olongapo City Federated Parent-Teacher Association (OCFPTA) Election on September 9, 2024. The event, held at the SDO Conference Hall, was part of the ongoing implementation of DepEd Order No. 013, s. 2022, which promotes active engagement among key stakeholders in the education sector to enhance learners’ welfare.
The election brought together School Heads and School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Presidents from 40 schools, previous OCFPTA officers, and representatives from the Schools Division Office, including the Schools Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) Chief and partnership focal persons.
The program started with the Introduction of FPTA Election delivered by Senior Education Program Specialist of Social Mobilization and Networking, Arlene E. Dela Rea. Following this, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Sir William Roderick R. Fallorin, CESO VI, gave the Welcome Remarks, and OIC-Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Imelda P. Macaspac, shared an inspiring message. Outgoing Olongapo City FPTA President, Charles T. Burn Jr., expressed his support and optimism for the newly elected officers, emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation between parents and teachers in addressing the needs of learners.
The highlight of the event was the election of new OCFPTA officers, who will serve to bridge the gap between schools and the broader community. The newly elected officers are:

Vice President: Marlon G. Inarin, Tabacuhan Elementary School
Secretary: Monette F. Cruz, Tapinac Elementary School
Treasurer: Reynasol Escusa, Mabayuan Elementary School
Auditor: Lea M. Tumanda, Regional Science High School III
Committee on Audit: Marvin Villela, Kalalake National High School
Committee on Finance: Jean Dilag Polistico, Asinan Elementary School
Business Manager: Julius Del Rosario, Mabayuan Senior High School
Disbursing Officer: Josephine Gaton, Old Cabalan Integrated School
External Affairs Officer: Christina Caballero, Nellie E. Brown Elementary School
Program and Project Officer: Ava Freda Mayor, Barretto I Elementary School
Committee on Ways and Means: Jessica L. Ramirez, Bangal Elementary School
Grievance Officers: Jeffrey Derain, Kalalake Elementary School, and Bernadeth B. Calalang, Olongapo City Elementary School
Disciplinary Officer: Benildo D. Garcia Jr., New Cabalan Elementary School
This newly elected OCFPTA team is expected to lead initiatives that will boost collaboration between parents, teachers, and the community, contributing to a supportive educational environment for Olongapo City’s learners.
