Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Director 3 May B. Eclar on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Rolen Paulino, Jr. at the Office of the Mayor in Olongapo City.
RD Eclar received warm congratulations from Mayor Paulino for her recent appointment and stated that he looks forward to better cooperation and success on the projects with the Schools Division Office. They were joined by Schools Division Superintendent Leilani Cunanan, OIC-Assistant Superintendent Maylene Minimo, and Engineer Justin Charles Espiritu.
The talk was highlighted by Superintendent Cunanan’s plan to build the first Robotics Center in the Region together with the Department of Science and Technology who will be issuing the grant. Moreover, this is in response to the Mayor’s vision of developing a community of computer programmers and IT experts by training both the teachers and learners of the Division.
“I can’t wait to see how the Robotics Center would look like! I am excited about your project,” said RD Eclar.
Meanwhile, she also dropped by the Office of Congressman Jeffrey Khonghun where she was welcomed by Chief-of-Staff Jaq Khonghun.
Several projects including the construction of covered courts in all public schools and erection of new buildings were discussed.
On November 9 last year, RD Eclar formally assumed leadership as the Regional Director of DepEd Region III.
