Olongapo City, July 22, 2024 — Asinan Elementary School served as the vibrant venue for the Brigada Eskwela Kick-off, skillfully organized by the Schools Division Office of Olongapo City spearheaded by the Social Mobilization & Networking unit with the full support and motivation of Chief Ricardo E. Ednave. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the city’s top officials, including the City Mayor, Vice Mayor, and City Councilors led by Konsi Tata Paulino. Joining them was the President Echie Ponge of the Liga ng Mga Barangays and distinguished stakeholders from Subic Bay International Terminal, Inc., represented by Sir Henry V. Dungca and Ms. Olga Lledo. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), along with principals and teachers from 40 schools, also voluntarily participated in this significant occasion in preparation for the upcoming school year.
The event commenced with a lively motorcade which was facilitated by Sir Erwin Castillejo and Sir Juan Pecson, setting an energetic tone for the day. Following the motorcade, was the program highlighting the distribution of 22 pcs 55” Smart TVs, generously funded by the Special Education Fund spearheaded by the LSB Chairpersons Mayor Rolen C. Paulino and Dr. Imelda P. Macaspac. This gesture underscores the city’s commitment to enhancing educational resources and providing modern learning tools for learners.
A significant moment of the kick-off was the signing of the pledge of commitment, symbolizing a collective dedication to ensuring a conducive learning environment for the learners. This act of unity among the city’s leaders, educators, and stakeholders reflects the collaborative and bayanihan spirit of Brigada Eskwela.
The success of the event was greatly attributed to the teamwork of Asinan Elementary School personnel spearheaded their principal, Madam Danah Ann Platon who diligently catered to every aspect of the activity. Their dedication and efficient organization were instrumental in making the event a resounding success. The Schools Division Office extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Asinan Elementary School staff (teaching and non-teaching) for their unwavering support and exemplary effort.
The successful kick-off at Asinan Elementary School not only marks the beginning of preparations for the new school year but also demonstrates the community’s unwavering support for education.
