To have correct data is a prerequisite to arrive at the right decision.
Harmonizing teachers’ data both in the files of the Human Resource Division and Planning Officer of the SDO has come into reality when the Teacher Audit was conducted last February 11-14 and 18-22, 2020. This activity aims to gather existing numbers of teachers, their teaching loads and current positions based on the Plantilla Allocation List and in the Electronic Basic Education Information System (EBEIS) submitted by schools annually. The conduct of Teacher Audit has been very challenging for its target is to have a consolidated file of accurate basic information of all public school teachers in SDO Olongapo City.
During the actual audit, the Planning Officer, Mr. Rodel Martinez, together with the personnel from the Human Resource Division namely: Ms. Redgene Ann Alpas, Mr. Ryan Ygusguiza, Mr. Danilo Samonte, Ms. Merly Mendigorin, Ms. Rosalyn Feliciano and Mr. Jairus Pineda reviewed the Personal Services Itemization and Plantilla of Personnel (PSIPOP) against the list submitted by the schools. This facilitated in determining exact number of warm bodied teachers including those who are detailed in other schools, currently on-leave and have retired in service.
Simultaneous with the review of the PSIPOP is the matching of individual teachers ’ program to the class program presented by schools. This task has been made possible through the consolidated efforts of Mr. Raymund Camacho, Mr. Ricardo Ednave and Dr. Eleonor C. Cayabyab of the Schools Governance of Operations Division together with the school representatives. The process has been engaged meticulously to arrive at concrete information on how many teachers are underload and overload, how many schools have excess teachers, master teachers and in need of additional teachers. Results of Teacher Audit have been presented to Madam Leilani Samson Cunanan, Mr. Enrique E. Angeles Jr, Schools Division Superintendent and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, respectively.
It is with high hopes that the findings of the Teacher Audit will be very useful in the planning and decision making of the SDO for School Year 2020-2021.
