Best Practices in Focus: SDO Olongapo City, SDO Nueva Ecija Hold Benchmarking Activity

The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Olongapo City hosted representatives from SDO Nueva Ecija on September 25, 2025, for a Systems and Processes Benchmarking activity focused on sharing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance governance and operational efficiency.

Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Ilynne S. Samonte, CESE, initiated the program with an inspiring introduction, setting the stage for a day of collaboration and learning. Dr. Eleonor C. Cayabyab, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division, followed with a message highlighting the importance of inter-division knowledge exchange and collective growth.

Representing the visiting team, Mr. Erwin T. Donelo, Planning Officer of SDO Nueva Ecija, outlined their goals and expectations for the benchmarking activity, emphasizing their interest in replicable systems that improve service delivery.

Mr. Jet Renz Ferrer, OIC-EPS, together with the Innovation Team, showcased SDO Olongapo City’s core systems and processes, including the Records Management System (RMS), Human Resource Management System (HRMS), Athena AI, Payroll System, School Information Management System (SIM), Certificate Generator, Health and Nutrition Record Management System, and other platforms that enhance the division’s productivity and efficiency. These tools reflect the division’s strong commitment to digital transformation and operational excellence.

The group also toured the different division units to observe firsthand how personnel utilize the various systems in their daily operations, ensuring that technology is maximized to support

The exchange was enriched by an open forum where SDO Nueva Ecija representatives shared insights, asked questions, and provided feedback, fostering a dynamic and productive dialogue.

To conclude the activity, Mr. Ricardo Ednave, Chief of the School Governance and Operations Division, delivered a reflective synthesis of the day’s learnings, reinforcing the value of continuous improvement and collaborative innovation in educational management.

This benchmarking initiative emphasizes the shared dedication of both divisions to harness technology, refine systems, and deliver enhanced services for educators and learners alike.
