SDO Olongapo City, January 20, 2026 — The Olongapo City Federated Parent-Teacher Association (OCFPTA) formally turned over a newly donated service vehicle to the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Olongapo City in a ceremonial program highlighted by unity, gratitude, and shared commitment to quality education.


The event opened with the blessing of the service vehicle led by Rev. Fr. Orlando Correa, invoking safety and guidance for all students and personnel who will utilize the vehicle in delivering essential services across schools in the division.

Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Ilynne S. Samonte welcomed the participants, emphasizing the importance of partnerships between the Department of Education and stakeholders, particularly Olongapo City Federated Parent-Teacher Association in strengthening educational programs and operations.

SGOD Chief Ricardo E. Ednave formally introduced the donor, recognizing the continuous support of the OCFPTA in advancing the welfare of learners and education personnel. Representing the donor, OCFPTA President Jose Emmanuel Arcenal delivered a message highlighting the federation’s commitment to serve as a strong partner of DepEd and to contribute meaningfully to initiatives that improve school governance and service delivery.

City Mayor Hon. Rolen C. Paulino, Jr. also conveyed his message of support, commending the OCFPTA for its generosity and encouraging sustained collaboration among the local government, DepEd, and community stakeholders to further uplift the education sector in Olongapo City.




The highlight of the program was the formal turnover of the service vehicle through the symbolic handover of the key and ribbon-cutting ceremony, signifying the official acceptance and operational use of the vehicle by the Schools Division Office.

Schools Division Superintendent Imelda P. Macaspac expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the OCFPTA, noting that the donated vehicle will significantly enhance mobility and efficiency in monitoring, supervision, and implementation of division programs and activities.

In recognition of their invaluable contribution, certificate of appreciation was awarded to the OCFPTA officers. Additionally, the presence of the school heads and other DepEd personnel added meaning and support to the activity, reflecting unity and shared responsibility in advancing the school’s mission. The turnover ceremony and blessing of the new van donated by the Federation of Parents–Teachers Association (FPTA) served as a fitting highlight of the event, symbolizing strengthened partnership and collective commitment to better service for the school community. The donation reflects the strong partnership between DepEd Olongapo City and the OCFPTA, reinforcing a shared mission to deliver accessible, responsive, and quality education services to the learners of Olongapo City.
