The Division of Olongapo successfully held the 2026 Division Kindergarten Festival of Talents on February 27, 2026, at Asinan Elementary School, bringing together young winners from various schools to showcase their creativity, confidence, and early academic abilities.

The event was spearheaded by Dr. Elyssa F. Villar, Public Schools District Supervisor and Division Kindergarten Focal Person. She introduced the participants and judges, explained the competition mechanics, and formally opened the festival with a message emphasizing the value of nurturing children’s talents at an early age.

Support from school officials, teachers, and parents contributed greatly to the success of the activity. Principal IV Danah Ann L. Platon welcomed all guests and participants, while inspirational messages from Dr. Eleonor C. Cayabyab, CID Chief, and Ms. Ilynne S. Samonte, CESE, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, underscored the importance of providing meaningful learning experiences that develop both academic and social skills.
The festival aimed to give kindergarten learners a platform to showcase their abilities, build confidence, promote social interaction, and cultivate teamwork. It also served as an opportunity to recognize the unique talents and potentials of every child. Participants were school‑level winners who competed alongside their teacher‑coaches. Each school fielded one learner per category, except in the Move & Groove category, which required four pairs of performers.
The event featured eight categories designed to highlight a range of emerging skills: Singing Competition, Move & Groove Performance, Kinder Tales Showdown, Tiny Hands Big Stories, Tiny Voices Big Words, Tangram Thinkers, Kinder Spelling Stars, and the Star Reader Award. The 2026 Division Kindergarten Festival of Talents concluded as a joyful and meaningful celebration of early childhood education, strengthened by the dedication of teachers, school leaders, supervisors, and families.

The 2026 Division Kindergarten Festival of Talents proved to be a vibrant celebration of young learners’ abilities, creativity, and confidence. Through the various competitions, kindergarten pupils were given the opportunity to express themselves, demonstrate their developing skills, and experience the joy of learning beyond the classroom. The event highlighted the importance of early childhood programs that nurture not only academic growth but also social interaction, teamwork, and self-confidence. With the strong support of school leaders, teachers, parents, and the Schools Division Office of Olongapo, the festival successfully reinforced the commitment to cultivating the talents and potential of every child, inspiring young learners to continue exploring and developing their gifts in the years ahead.
