OCABIS Hosts 2026 Division Technolympics and HistoPop; Learners Shine in Skills and Innovation Competitions

Olongapo City, Philippines — February 6, 2026. The Schools Division Office of Olongapo City successfully mounted the 2026 Division Festival of Talents: Technolympics and HistoPop at Old Cabalan Integrated School (OCABIS), drawing participants from public and private elementary and secondary schools, as well as the Alternative Learning System (ALS). The event showcased impressive technical abilities, creativity, and innovation of learners through competitions in various Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) areas and cultural performances.

The activity was spearheaded by Allen S. Tuyugon, Education Program Supervisor for Araling Panlipunan, and Jonathan F. Bada, Education Program Supervisor for TLE. Their leadership and coordination played a key role in the festival’s seamless execution, ensuring that all contest areas operated efficiently and in alignment with the Division’s objectives.

The festival officially opened with an address from Amalia M. Abayan, Principal IV of OCABIS, who emphasized the significance of the Division Festival of Talents in enhancing learners’ TLE competencies and strengthening school–community engagement. This was followed by a message from Imelda P. Macaspac, PhD, Schools Division Superintendent, who underscored the importance of practical, skill‑based learning in preparing students for future professional environments. Adding to the momentum of the occasion, Eleonor C. Cayabyab, EdD, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division, commended the dedication of teachers, coaches, and learners, highlighting how events like the Technolympics foster growth, confidence, and excellence among the youths.

Before the competitions began, Amrah Phil A. Solano, OIC–Assistant Principal of OCABIS, presented the contest guidelines, safety reminders, and protocols to ensure discipline and smooth flow across all activity venues. The culminating message was delivered by Annie A. Montero, Public Schools District Supervisor of District I‑C, who lauded the participants for their creativity, perseverance, and admirable sportsmanship throughout the festival.
